The 2017 Kamloops Half-marathon has been cancelled due to the impact of wildfires around Kamloops. The current situation has caused air-quality issues, and a need for volunteers and resources to support those evacuated from wild fire sites who are seeking refuge in the city. More details and a press release are available on the event website. We fully support the Race Director and his team in making this tough decision and our thoughts are with all those affected by the fires across BC. We are currently working on updating the road race series requirements for this year to reflect the cancellation of this event. If you wish to make a donation or volunteer to help assist with the ongoing relief efforts we recommend you do so through the United for BC Wildfire Recovery campaign.
