The Starting Block 10k was a huge success in Lavington. The first race of the Interior Running Association Canadian Tire Road Race Series saw 158 finishers who had wonderful race day conditions. The roads were mostly dry, the sun was peaking around the mountains, winds were calm and the temperature was great for February racing (around 1 degree Celcius which of course brought out the singlets and shorts for some hardy Canadian racers). Thank you to Darlene (race director) and the Kal RATS for putting on a great race again! What a great day to celebrate health and fitness in such a beautiful part of our country. We have many pictures from the Starting Block 10k that are free to download and can be found here.
